Girls Inc. Valley Launches ‘Together Week’ Fundraising Campaign

Girls Inc. of the Valley launched Girls Inc. Together Week, a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, following the recent grand opening of its new headquarters.

Girls Inc. Together Week is a national celebration designed to uplift the young girls supported by the organization. The campaign encourages community members to create personal fundraising pages, share their connections to Girls Inc., and inspire their networks to contribute. Just before noon today, Girls Inc. of the Valley had taken the lead in the funds raised during the event.

The Holyoke-based nonprofit aims to raise $60,000 to expand its programs and support up to 500 girls ages 5 to 18 in the coming year. The fundraiser includes a 24-hour online giving day, which began today, to help the organization reach its goals.

Suzanne Parker, Executive Director of Girls Inc. of the Valley, and Girls Inc. of the Valley alumna Sabria Brown visited WWLP to discuss the importance of Girls Inc. programming and how community members can support and empower local youth.
