In honor of International Day of the Girl, Girls Inc. of the Valley invites business leaders in the community for an event at Venture X, Holyoke titled “Riding the Wave: Back to Work and School in a Pandemic”. Attendees will hear from speakers for an intimate discussion about successes and learning moments about managing staff and students during a pandemic.
Special guest speakers for this event include:
- Tricia Canavan, Executive Vice-President of Corporate Relations & Advocacy at United Personnel
- Denise Hurst, Member-At-Large of the Springfield School Committee
- Xiomara DeLobato, Chief of Staff at the Western MA Economic Development Council
Girls Inc. of the Valley will also announce the support of the Holyoke Macy’s store as a Corporate Champion for Girls. During the month of September, Macy’s customers were encouraged to round up their in-store and online purchase to support Girls Inc. $2,500 was raised from this initiative.
