Girls Inc. national is determined to reach more girls, and so is strategically funneling funds to some of its 81 affiliates across the country. We are grateful to be one of the chosen—and thrilled to announce that we were awarded a growth grant of $100,000! It’s our second in two years.
The grant will help us expand our reach in several ways. Our Eureka! program for teens at UMass is slated to reach significantly more girls. We are also looking to increase our footprint for tweens at Springfield’s Chestnut Academy middle school, and exploring other school partnerships as well. And to make the expansion go more smoothly, we’re hiring a new school-based program manager. Growth feels good!
